If you look closely, you will see an unexpected, yet very welcome, new beginning - a bright advent of creativity and contentedness that followed my transition to motherhood and my return to the quiet, country town where I was raised.
A year and a half ago, I picked up a paintbrush for the first time in decades. Since then, I have immersed myself in the history and methods of illustration and pattern design. Each day I am inspired by something new, and multiple times a day, I am humbled by all I have yet to learn.
The six collections I created in 2020 include:1) Rose, 2) Phlox, 3) Geranium, 4) Classical, 5) Nautical, and 6) Farm and Field. They were inspired by the perennial flowers that grow along the lanes of Essex County, the classical architectural elements that live in the historic details of our home, the seashells and flags that dot the Cape Ann coast, and the hounds and horses that race through the fields in my small town.
